Buying property with SIPPs
Why buy?
- Use your pension fund to buy a
commercial property of your choice. Rent from the property goes back into your fund. Capital growth also goes back into your pension fund.
Not enough cash?
- If there is insufficient cash in your fund you can take a mortgage to make up the shortfall. Or you can pool your pension funds with a friend or partner and use two or more
SIPPs to buy.
What should I buy?
- The choice is up to you, but the classic SIPPs purchase is to
buy a property to run your business from. Let your business pay rent to your pension fund.
Care Home?
-
Can I put a care home in a SIPP, in many cases yes you can.
My pension funds are not in SIPPs?
- We can help you transfer the funds, then buy a property.
Taking control
- You can personally select a shop, office or other
commercial property to purchase via SIPPs.
Farms and Land?
-
Farms and Land with a SIPP can be considered by a few providers. You should speak to our advisers in the first instance.
Investments overseas?
-
Overseas property can be considered within SIPPs, but only by a few providers. You should speak to our advisers in the first instance.
